Hey there everyone! I asked for help about my system build a month ago, and eventually got my Graphics card RMA'd (HIS Radeon R9 290X 4GB IceQ X² Video Card)
Well I finally got it back yesterday and popped it into my system to see that everything was working fine. I even managed to play some SRIV on ultra with no problem. However I did notice that every time the screen would turn off, when I brought it up, all of my windows were resized and moved, as if they were on a lower resolution. Well today I got onto my computer and used it for about half an hour, you know nothing too stressful, watching youtube browsing different sites. And all of a sudden, the screen cuts out and there is a popping sound from my monitor like someone just cut the audio out (it's connected through HDMI).
I had to leave for work but before I did, I turned the computer back on and opened the monitoring software to see what my card was at, and it was sitting at 44C, so it isn't overheating. While they card was getting RMA'd I ran the system fine using the integrated graphics on the MOBO, so I don't think it's that, and I have a 750W PSU so it should be enough power to keep the system with the card running. Is it possible I got another faulty card? Or are there some other tests I can run to see if something else in the machine is faulty.
I did see that there are some problems with power to the card, so I installed a second line from my PSU so that it wouldn't overload one rail. However after leaving it untouched overnight, I wake up to see my card if not displaying anything again.
Currently running Windows 7 with up to date drivers, the only thing my system has that it doesn't in the previous post is a cd drive and a multi card reader connected to one of the USB2 headers on the MOBO. Thanks for all of the help everyone and if there's any more info you need just ask!
