Which Modem Should I Buy? (x-post from /r/comcast)

Howdy folks!
Moving to a new apartment and Comcast is, unfortunately, the only real viable ISP for high speed internet.
Instead of paying them to lease a modem, I figured I'd just buy an alright one, and I have the list of compatible modems here, but I just don't know what I need or want or what is any good.
Is there anyone knowledgeable out there who can help me?
