About a year ago I worked with the good people over at /r/buildapc and build myself my first custom PC. Things were going great until I got the great idea to upgrade to Windows 8.1.
Now, I love how snappy the new update is and I'm generally happy... but damn if the CPU fan doesn't spin like crazy. I've tried updating the drivers for my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H ATX LGA1155 Motherboard) but it doesn't really seem to help. I don't overclock (that was going to be something I'd work out later), so I doubt its that.
Is there something that I'm just missing? My Google-fu hasn't been that helpful, so I'm turning to the collective wisdom here.
Thanks!
