(This has already been posted to /r/jailbreak and /r/applehelp. Also, sorry for the wall of text...)
A couple weeks ago, my jailbroken iPod started to get poor wifi reception in my basement. I used to be able to watch full 20-min. game commentaries on my iPod. Now, I can't even load a website. One thing I've noticed though, is that the signal weakens at a certain point. If it's weaker than 50 dBm (which is in the living room), I can't do much of anything.
I can connect to my school network properly with no problems whatsoever. All other devices that my family has (including my mom's 3GS) has internet in working order.
Things I've tried:
- Reset Network Settings
- Restored my iPod (w/ iLEX RAT)
- Reset my router (twice)
So, is this a fixable problem or is my iPod touch too outdated to connect properly to a specific network?
