Hello, about a few days ago there were a series of power outages, usually this does nothing to my computer, just requires me to restart it. Well, I started my computer back up after the power outages, and I kept getting a BSOD from Windows 8, saying memory management error.
Alright, so I use google and find out it is usually a ram problem.(I currently have 4gb (2gbx2)) I take out a ram chip, and the system works and boots normally.
Naturally, I think the problem is that something happened to that ram chip. I look up the specs of my ram and order one with the exact same specifications. (Not the same brand, because they're not available anymore)
The ram got here today, and I installed it.
I keep getting memory management error. Every time I install more than 2gb of memory, I get that BSOD and that same error.
Not exactly sure if it is that me installing more than 2gb causes the error, or filling more than one ram slot is causing it.
I'll try to get specs listed here soon, currently at work. Just trying to get a general idea of what might be wrong.
