Hi all. Asking for my partner.

She has a laptop, therefore an inbuilt keyboard which works fine. The question is, could you connect a one handed keyboard but remap functions.

So on the inbuilt keyboard, have CTRL function as normal, but have the laptop detect CTRL on the external keyboard as a different function, without triggering the inbuilt keyboard.

I guess remapping an external keyboard as a hotbar kinda thing so say making CTRL 'Pause', ALT 'Paste' so on so forth.

I imagine it could be possible but how the system/OS would differentiate between keyboards is beyond me.

TL;DR - can you remap a secondary keyboard for different functions and/or macros.

Thanks for reading my poorly worded enquiry.
