PSU: Corsair HX1200i
Problem:
Occasionally, my system will not wake from sleep. I then hard shutdown then try turning it back on, and it won't post, the Q-LED gets stuck on VGA and BOOT. The system does not recover until i reset the CMOS by using my screwdriver to short the jumper. It then runs fine for a period of time.
I have tried:
- Default BIOS settings (default ram speeds, no PBO, etc)
- Updating Bios, GPU Driver DDU/reinstall
- Disabling iGPU
- sfc scannow
Observations:
- My display resets to 60hz after the cmos reset
- While the system is in it's "Sleep" state, the RGB settings from OpenRGB are reset, the keyboard is lit up and working, and both monitors are lit up but "Black Screen"
- Event viewer doesn't seem to contain anything useful, aside from a bunch of devicesetupmanager errors? Here's an excerpt up until my hard shutdown (Kernel-Power)Â https://pastebin.com/WcFUn5nV
- I initially thought maybe it was my RAM? I ran memtest64 in windows but after a while it just crashed the system, no errors detected... but it was a different kind of crash. It could be the RAM but I haven't seen any errors and the system benchmarks fine.
My next two steps are probably update to windows 11 and/or replace my RAMÂ (would rather not).
