tropico 4 is not working.

i just bought and downloaded tropico 4 on steam and it never loads properly. Every time i launch the game it takes me to the screen where you press play game then once clicked black screen then error stating tropico 4 stopped working. ive managed to play once somehow but it never asked for my login. Uninstall/install does not help either. its really pissing me off pleas help thanks reddit!
