Screen Goes Black When Gaming

Post Body

I have an RTX 3060 and recently, seemingly out of the blue, my screen began going black whenever I played a video game. I forced shut down about 4 times as a result of this. I've trouble shooted my monitor by swapping HDMI cables to my laptop, of which the display carried over (ASUS tech support directed me to do so), so I'm pretty sure the monitor isn't the issue... although I admit that I'm not 100% certain.

To try and deduce whether this was a software or hardware issue, I updated all my drivers, checked for viruses, performed a system restore, performed a BIOS update, and finally a hard reset on my entire computer, losing all my files in the process.

This didn't fix the issue though, and it's rather odd considering that my computer typically has no issue running Cyberpunk 2077 on max settings, and now it goes entirely black within 5 minutes of playing a game against bots in League of Legends (which my laptop with an outdated Intel graphics card can run smoothly). This issue started when I downloaded Starfield on Xbox game pass and I attempted to connect my PS4 controller, to no avail.

Now when I force shut down, the screen is entirely black without the need to start a video game, prompting me to remove the power cord, which it then begins working again until I start another video game.

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could assist me with this issue.
