Post Body

Hey everyone,

I've got a gaming laptop running the fastest ram available at the time, 2666 MHz CL16. Through a bios update, XMP is now available so I can choose up to 3200 MHz. The sticks I chose are CL20, because in my area it seems like CL18 or CL16 are about twice the cost. But am I now basically sidegrading/downgrading with a unnecessary purchase?

From what I gather, it seems like the absolute latency will be higher (12.5 vs 12). Or are there other factors at play that I am missing?
