USB ports on monitor aren't working! Help!

Hi there - I've just bought a new USB A to B cable in case that was the issue here, but it hasn't solved the problem. The monitor is able to power the USB ports fine (lights on keyboards show up etc) but nothing works. I have an AOC monitor and a custom PC if that helps!
