Hi y'all I have an Aorus15p XD with the following specs
Core i7-11800h
Nvidia RTX 3070 8GB
40GB RAM (Working on getting the 8gb module replaced for another 32 Gb module soon)
And I have been having this persisten issue with Bethesda Games,to be specific Fallout 4 and now Starfield
I'm an avid nodder and I enjoy Bethesda games but I had some issues while playing F4 in which i 2ould get some audio crackling after some time and the game would sometimes lock up and the laptop would whit down and reboot itself.
I tried to get Gigabyte to address the issue hit they said it wasn't the computer and that they couldn't do anything.
I ended up limiting the max processor state on the power settings to 99% and the issue mostly went away, I thought it could have been the turbo boost hecking something up.
So before purchasing starfield for me I had a fiend of mine log on to his steam account so we could try starfield on my laptop, and the same issue started happening, crackling, stutters and eventually shut down and reboots.
So I tried even setting the processor state lower than 99%, and nothing, same issue.
I'm bummed, I can't purchase a new laptop, and now I have one that can play 7d2d modded to hell and back but can't deal with Bethesda games.
I tried to update drivers, I tried to disable audio enhancements and spacial sound, nothing works I'm mad, my laptop is way out of warranty and I feel like I'm SOL until next year on December when I can buy a new computer, anyone else has had issues like this one?
Edit---------------
So I've been playing with the mรกx processor State on the power settings and setting it down to 70% has given me the best results so far, but it's infuriating that I have to make my computer turn down the processor in order to be able to play a game tbh
