Trying to play an older PC game and don’t know where to start

Post Body

A bit of context. Recently I found my old copy of “Lord of the Rings: Battle For Middle Earth 2”. This was my favorite game growing up and holds a very sentimental place in my heart as it was a game my brother and I would play together all the time and he passed away last year. I would love to play this game again for nostalgia’s sake and to feel a connection to my late brother. With that said I am not a particularly “techy” person. I know that the game is not available on steam and I don’t want to pirate the game so my hard disk copy is my only hope. I don’t even know where to begin trying to play it. My laptop doesn’t have a disk drive and I have no idea what kind of requirements are needed for old games like this. Sorry if this isn’t the right community to post in but figured it was worth a shot. Thank you all in advance.
