Mac Networking - internet speed test says 12/mbps down .7/mbps up, but sometimes browsers and apps say "not connected".

I am on latest Mac Os on a Macbook pro. Internet here is distant wifi router but I show green full bar connection in wifi settings.

Problem seems to have started recently and I am checking with neighbors if anything changed with router?

Chrome loads a site fine, but them Firefox and Safari say no internet. Signal app won't send messages.

It's as if some of my programs are online, but other programs aren't online.

So I've been browsing on chrome for 25 min no problem but signal shows messages not sending, says "offline," safari and firefox can't connect to same sites...
