How do I wirelessly connect my computer to my TV in a separate room using most of what I already have?

I thought I figured out how to do it. You can see the pieces I use here, http://imgur.com/a/nHdHv.

Basically, I need to make this happen wirelessly (the wife doesn't want wires all over the place) and I can't seem to make it work. I want to play my video games on my computer while sitting in front of my big TV on my nice couch. I built my computer with the help of r/buildapc, so there isn't a model. My video card is a Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 1GB. I have dual monitors that are connected by using the two DVI ports.

My idea was that I when I wanted to play a game, I could simply disconnect the second monitor and hook it up to the Picture 1 contraption (female to female DVI connector connected to DVI to RGB converter). This then connects to a wireless transmitter which transmits the signal to a wireless receiver. This then connects to the TV.

I thought this would work, but when I do it, the TV says that there is no signal. The computer basically doesn't recognize when I am switching the plug from being plugged into the monitor to being plugged into my picture 1 contraption. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can make this work with as little trouble and cost as possible? Thanks in advance for the help!
