Windows Media Player problems

Windows media comes up by itself randomly when I'm on my computer, and hi-jacks/ takes over my computer and cant do anything. The only way I can stop it, is if I restart my computer, I tried to uninstall and disable it, but I cant find it. I also ran my cleaners and anti-virus programs but nothing. Please help!!
