I have a 2006 model car. It has Bluetooth, but only for phone calls. Tonight while driving I got an incoming call alert. Pressed the accept button on the dash. Phone hangs up. A few seconds later the same thing. This happened about 5 times. So finally I reached over and looked at my phone. There was a message on the screen. Something like "hello, just checking on how you are. Would you say you are feeling good? Or bad?" My first thought was A.I.
I ignored the message, thought I'd have another look when I wasn't driving. Finally stopped the car, unlocked my phone. No message. No apps open. No recent app activity. Nothing in the browser. Checked message log. Phone log. Facebook messages. No recent activity there.
Seems like something's talking directly to the Android kernel, and only when the phone is connected to the car via bluetooth. Some kind of malware? Or singularity event? Has my car become self aware and interested in my wellbeing?
