GPU showing as "unknown device"

Post Body

So I have a fairly outdated gaming PC that I used to play some older stuff. Today I pulled a known working GeForce GTX 560Ti out of a friends PC, it was working fine at the time I pulled it out. I brought it home and installed it in my PC and it keeps showing up in device manager as an unknown device. I've been messing around for a couple hours and my google fu is letting me down as I can't seem to find the issue. All I've really tried is resetting the BIOS, uninstalling the "uknown device", and attempting to install the NVIDIA driver which says it can't find compatible hardware.

I didn't have a GPU in this computer immediately prior to this event. I had a GTX 760Ti in it several months ago but that card died and I haven't had anything in it in the meantime. Any help would be greatly appreicated.
