Been lurking for a few months but this is my first post here. Please let me know if this post is appropriate for this forum. This is something between a question and a resource post.
I've been a student pilot for a couple years and I'm majoring in Technical Communications as a backup plan (and to be more competitive at the airlines) and I was wondering if anyone here does any technical writing centered around aviation? The field itself is filled with all sorts of technical documentation, from aircraft manuals (which would be published by the manufacturer) all the way to airport diagrams and chart supplements (which would be published by the FAA, Department of transportation, or some government agency). Ive seen one or two federal job listings for technical writing regarding the documentation of a new park and whatnot, but nothing aviation related yet.
