Is it worth to make an EOL farm without removing any bedrock?

I made my first perimeter in 1.18 planning to make an EOL before 1.19 but even with automated machines breaking all the bedrock would be a pain, so I was wandering if building the farm on top of the last layer of bedrock would slow it down significantly.
