Advances in technology destroy and change jobs all the time. AI will replace accountants, and radiologies, and astronomers and loads of jobs, but will create loads of new jobs, jobs we don’t know we don’t know about. It will expand the total job market, but it will require people to retrain for new types of roles. This happens at every technological revolution. Acting and Art are no different, but they have a slight advantage in live performance, to preference for human derived art. The market for entertainment is large, and where a hole in the market exists, an agent of some sort will be ready to fill it. There is room for both AI and human art.
New tech is scary, but in destruction of old paradigms new and often much better paradigms are created. Disruption is growth, and the most growth happens when you are at the edge of a complex system. Humanity is inarguably better off than we were 100 years ago, we are better off than we were 50 years ago, AI and better technology will hell us to continue that trend.
