Slow internet only for my laptop

Hello all, I’m currently a college student and I’ve noticed in lectures everyone’s laptop is fast and working except mine. It’s pretty new (got it in May) and I don’t know why this is. It is a Microsoft surface laptop 2 with windows 10. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
