Post Body

I haven't seen this theory in the sub so sorry if it's been mentioned. I see a lot of conversations saying that gloom hands 'despawn' after time. I don't think despawn is the right description. Here's why. (If you're avoiding spoilers I'd suggest not reading beyond this point.

I've noticed that the time it takes for them to disappear is circumstantial. More quickly during the day, it takes longer at night and the instances in caves they never despawn.

Plus they're literally made of gloom and we know the cure for gloom is light.

Therefore, my theory is that they don't despawn after a random period of time but rather that eventually succumb to their weakness to light and straight up die.

A theory I believe is supported by the fact that they leave something behind as all enemies in the game do once defeated.

What do you all think?
