Took a trip to The Best Tea Shop in Chinatown, NYC (amazing name lol) and the proprietor sat with me and, even though with a bit of an obvious grimace on his face at my clear noob-ery, helped me grab some teas to try before committing to larger cakes! Even better, he had a lovely selection of teaware and well, now I own my first proper gaiwan and such! Holds 120ml, so it’s perfect for solos & duos. The cha pan (tea table) was bought nearby for $35 and I really love how the blue in the side matches the blue flowers of the gaiwan/gongdaibei/tea cups.
Oh, and this Puerh sample is delicious. I feel just like the people I’ve seen who get that perfect puerh brew because this color is amazing. Now time to translate so I know what I’m actually drinking 🤣🌸❤️
