2014 Passat

Looking to buy a tdi 2014 Passat with 143k asking 6500 has 26 service records. Looks to have leaked oil at one point. No rust, front brakes and rotors are probably shot, needs tires, It’s not deleted, Timing belt looks like it wasn’t done and zero record of it. I would be new to German cars and diesels. Looking for a work commuter (32 miles one way mostly highway) should I look elsewhere like a Honda fit or something?
