More DPF/EGR questions... sorry in advance
Post Body

Hey all,

a few days ago my 2014 jetta (CJAA-DSG) threw the wonderful P0401 as I was driving home. After diving into the rabbit hole for a bit I was preparing to delete the DPF and EGR pending a proper diag. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best you know?

Well, this morning its been confirmed that my DPF did in fact crack internally causing my issue... So i'll be biting the bullet and ordering the kit and tune, but my biggest question is do I run any sort of risk for driving the car in its current condition until I install the kit? While I know a lot about cars, I fall short when it comes to the specifics of diesels.

I do have a company work truck that I can drive around within reason, but I'd like to minimize any sort of heat from my boss lol.

Any insight on this is appreciated, thanks!
