Hi all! New here even though I've had a TDI for almost 3 years. As the title says I need help picking a new TDI daily. My beloved 2012 Treg TDI just got totaled. Very sad. I have been looking at all the sites to find a new one. There are def a few good options near me to replace with another Treg. But there are also a few nice Q7 TDI around the same model years that seem like good deals. I have had a number of VW and Audi's over the years, new and old. so I am familiar with all the VW/Audi quirks and pros and cons. On one hand, another VW would be like nothing ever happened. I know the car and I love it. On the other hand, the Q7 is a little bigger and a little nicer but the radio situation honestly looks a little outdated compared to the VW. The air suspension I don't love but that is because I had an C5 Allroad years ago that gave me a lot of headaches in the air suspension department. Other than those two little things though, the Q7 looks great. I only have 1 kid, so third row isn't totally necessary but we haven't decided if we are having another or not yet. The extra cargo room looks great since I have family all over the US and we take road trips to visit. Last thing, I do need the tow hitch and electric set up for that. The VW was great hauling dirt bikes and all that. Anyway, done rambling. Trying to figure out pros and cons of one over the over. Any advice or insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
UPDATE: Thanks for all the input everyone. I was not seeing any Touaregs that I liked and I was planning on looking at a Q7 today. Was considering buying it because the price was great but was nervous for more expensive repairs and maintenance. But late last night after all the holiday activities I was searching the web again and a new Treg was posted. And it was perfect. So I went and bought it. Very happy to be in another one that was just like mine.
