Error Committing Trade: Your account has a trading restriction; only liquidating trades are accepted.
Post Body

What is happening here? I tried to place a buy order today and it’s not letting me buy shares. I’ve only made two other buys in the past week. I read that this happens sometimes if you’ve been flagged as a day trader. I’m not.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I just opened an account a couple weeks ago. I will simply leave if this is going to be an ongoing pattern with TD.

UPDATE: They needed to verify my address and then unrestricted my account. This doesn’t make sense to me, since I had already put in trades. There was no context or message from them about this, so I had to call.
