55R646 Wifi dropping when turned on

New issue; when turned on the Wifi takes awhile to connect or sometimes it doesn't at all and I have to go into the settings. Happens almost 100% now when I turn on the TV. Would getting a chrome cast fix this issue even though I have the Google TV version (as opposed to the Roku)
