If an employee that lives in NY and has a 50/50 hybrid schedule with a CT employer, can they have withholding in both states in that ratio? I believe CT and NY have convenience-of-the-employer reciprocity so the employer can just tax them 100% CT and then employee then has to apply CT taxes paid towards their NY burden. But if the employer is already registered or is willing to register with NY they can do 50/50 or will CT get upset that they are not getting 100% due to the office being in CT since this is not a 100% remote employee.
