I was told a few yours back that in Indiana you get charged ~33% taxes when self employed, but that you would be taxed at a lower amount if you owned a small business instead. Is this true? If not, is there any benefit to owning a business vs. 1099 self employed? My buddy has started his own business and wants me to work with him, but being self employed on 1099. We are trying to figure out if I should start my own business or if it maters. Thank you for your time reading this and if you reply.
