Over contribution to Roth

Post Body

Hi all. For this past tax year (2020) I accidentally over contributed to my Roth. The Limit based on my income was 3750, and I contributed the full 6000. I understand I have until 10/15 to do a recharacterization if I choose to do so.

However, recharacterizing my contribution might be a bad idea since I have a large amount of pre-tax dollars in a rollover IRA (over 500K), but am not sure. Looking for advice?
