Im sure this isnt the first time a story like this has been posted but i need help, and not to be roasted please ( im a dummy procrastinator)
I just graduated from my local university and have worked every year while in college but have never paid my taxes , i've worked a different job every year but someway somehow im always unemployed during tax season, either im let go or ive quit ,so i was always scraping to survive with what little money i had and the prospect of "paying" my taxes was something that always felt impossible
during the times im unemployed i've sought out gigs around town since im a musician as well or done gig work like postmates/doordash (i am aware i need the 1099's). I cant be for certain since ive lost the W-2's but im 99% positive from 2017(18 years old)-2020 (21 years old) i didnt make $10000 for the jobs that required W-2's. 2021 was my first year making over $10,000 ( i think it was around $14,000) and then 2022 all i've done for work has been doordash minus a shift i worked only once for a company that paid me $80 that i had to sign a W-4 for
I was in foster care and moved out almost immediately after turning 18 so i never really had a older role model to look to for advice on this or a how-to guide.
please dont be mean , ya boi is sensitive
thanks in advance!
