I’ve been working as a contractor for this company for 1 year and 3 months now, I’m experienced working as one as this is the only company I do it for and haven’t heard about a W9 till now.

I read online that they were suppose to send me a W9 to fill at the beginning of working with them but I’ve just now been ASKED for it although I never filled one with them before. Am I suppose to find one online with the IRS to fill then send to them or should I respond asking if they can send me a W9 to fill?

To be clear, I am the one being paid. Sorry for my lack of understanding.
