Post Body

Hello, I do not know if this is the right place for a question like this or not but I am an international student in US with no idea of how taxes work here. So I have two on-campus jobs that I am doing this semester. One of those jobs is an hourly position that pays 15.12$ per hour and the other job has two stripends worth 1200$. I just received my first stripend of 1200$ and noticed that the Fed Witholding on that stripend was about 98$. But, my Fed Witholding on the the other job’s paycheck that pays 15.12$ per hour is 0$. Can anyone explain how this works and if everything is fine or not?

Thank you!
