I'm learning to tattoo, I have a tattooist on call at all times giving advice and support. She's shown everything I do and gives feedback. I don't tattoo from home, I tattoo from a salon in the evenings, clean, sterile and with all the sinks you could ever need. I'm going on to do my health and safety courses, and I'm looking into the intensive tattoo courses. I'm trying my best to go slow, understand it, work clean and not mess up anyone's skin but still I feel like total trash about being a "kitchen scratcher".
All other tattooists shit on you for it, even though they admit that it's how they started off.
I really want to be as good as I can be and have my own shop one day, is anyone in the UK still learning this way and pulling it off?
