there’s so much rush to get ink on skin but without a good drawing foundation…it’s not gonna look good! and even if you copy someone else’s design (unethical imo and i couldn’t pride myself in that), it takes a level of artistic skill to be able to modify things for different body parts, and drawing skills still transfer over to the actual tattooing process too. i still consider myself a beginner and i’m by no means shitting on anyone, just encouraging people who haven’t practiced and studied drawing for a long time to let the tattoo machine rest and just focus on using a pencil, pen, paintbrush, etc. i promise the tattoo machine will still be waiting for you!
