Tattoo Machines
Post Body

Looking to purchase a higher end machine. I bought the dragonhawk tour mast and it died after two weeks. What should I expect from buying an 89$ machine from Amazon. Sending that one back and bought the dragonhawk mast archer just to try out. A friend has that one and he recommended it.

Been researching and a little overwhelmed by all the different types. I'm either looking at getting a cheyenne hawk pen or a bishop v6 rotary machine. I did want a machine with an adjustable stroke but a friend told me 3.5mm really works for all styles. I don't even know what style I'd like to do yet as I'm just starting out but I've always loved tattoos with bold line work like American traditional or new school. I also want to be able to do smooth shading. What would you recommend? Looking to spend around 600$-800 with the machine and power supplies. I have everything else that's needed.

Also overwhelmed by the price of power supplies but I know in order to have the machine running right I should invest in a good power supply. I'm looking into a wireless battery pack as I hate cords like the critical battery pack. It's just so expensive, it is worth it? Any recommendations on power supplies? Appreciate it!

A huge part of me wants to splurge and spend all my money and get the new bishop power wand with the critical batteries. This is my manic brain talking. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks folks!
