Advice on tattoos for counting up

So I have been sitting on the idea of getting a certain tattoo for a while now. Basically I’m looking to get a tattoo that counts upwards, I climb mountains and I want a tattoo I can add to for each peak I summit. Roman numeral and simple tally mark tattoos aren’t what I’m after.

I’ve seen tattoos that have a simple black line that goes around fingers, that looks cool but it’ll quickly add up and I might want space for other finger tattoos in the future. Any thoughts, ideas or even photos that match this description would be greatly appreciated!
