Words/phrase tattoos - less priority on the artist’s skill?

Post Body
Thinking about getting my first tattoo, and most of the ideas that “speak” to me are stylized words/phrases. I don’t see a lot of tattoos like that on this sub.
My understanding is that if you just want block/typeface letters, or something like calligraphy, that artists tend to use a printed template - true? Are there artists who specialize in the written word? Or with these tattoos, the artist’s skills aren’t as big a factor?
