I played it like 8 times. Tate is the first person to make me like songs that sound like Calgary. Originally I felt like it was a little corny, but my god did it grow on me. Now I’m constantly singing “I thought that I was getting better” around when I’m doing stuff. I saw my mom, we did Christmas and it made me feel like I was a kid again.
Plus, why is Tate so relatable? i used to think i could fly is helping me through my latest breakup, hard. I literally played it for my ex and told him it was going to be my breakup album before he moved, so now it’s just aiding me in processing all the things that happened with him. It’s insane that music can do that. i still say goodnight still trips me up a little inside. My lungs get a little shallower.
I met a guy in Boston last night too LOL
