Planning a trip

my SO was from Tasmania he has somewhat become anti-Tasmania so asking him for info is harder than expected. So since there is a reddit i thought i ask over here.
- how hard is it driving in Tasmania? [i admit i can drive but i can;t park (or at least i need a rental car with back camera)]
- how safe is Tasmania? [i might be traveling alone because no one i know seems to be going to Tasmania]
- how bad is the express bus from Devonport to Hobart? [SO reckons it is better to drive]
- i know in rural Victoria at night there are no street lights is it the same in Tasmania?
- Any recommendations as to what i should eat/do. I am not an outdoor person so long hikes are not my kind of thing.
