I admit, I'm less than a year into reading/studying the intuitive art we all love, and yet I was recommended by a friend of a friend to do readings at a show this Sunday. I immediately volunteered and was accepted! I'm so effing beyond excited and appreciative of the confidence that has been bestowed on me. And I won't deny that I've hoped for a situation like this to pop up almost since I began reading. It's a dream come true.
But now that the date is almost (gulp) here... I'm obviously feeling a little bit of stress. My inexperience is making me second-guess my confidence in my deck. The anxiety of giving an inadequate reading, too, is palpable. Also, I'm waffling back and forth between how professional I should go. Try to cultivate a persona at this event? Make business cards for patrons if they dig my reading style? Just relax and have a good time? Obey my intuition?
All that said, I LOVE doing readings so, I'm really more excited than nervous. I feel confident in my ability to make inferences through reading the cards and the Querent's demeanor.
I would love to hear some other stories of first time professional readings, and the wisdom you received by doing them! Any advice at all is dearly appreciated <3
