The server has been open without a white-list for a little while now, but I've been too busy to write up a post to let everyone know. Now that I have some free time, I'd like to invite all our old users to join in sometime and try some of the new features we have. I'll get to those in a moment. First I'd like to let you all know that we're in a beta phase, and that the server may crash, or be restarted occasionally for updates. During testing mods will be updated, and some more may be added.
Now onto the current list of mods on the server. I have added Essentials to our list of mods that come with a bunch of great features, mostly for mods/admins, but there are a few commands default players can use. To see a list of the commands you can do, just do /help in game. You can also do /help essentials, or any other command to get even more information on how to use it.
Moving on from that, I have added Jobs. We currently have 9 jobs to choose from, which are subject to change during the testing. More jobs may be added in the future, or combined with other jobs. Prices, EXP, and requirements may change as more people try the jobs. There is a level cap of 25. You may only have one job at a time, and when you quit you lose all your EXP in that job. Current list of jobs are; Blacksmith, Brewer, Builder, Enchanter, Farmer, Fisherman, Hunter, Miner, and LumberJack. Do /jobs for a list of commands in game.
I have also brought back Towny, so you can reclaim land again. I am currently trying to pinpoint a good price for the start of a town, and claiming cost. Hopefully with everyones help I can figure out what will be a fair price for everyone. I want to make it high so not everyone can make a town right away, but still low so people can have protected land and chests.
There are many other small mods, such as FirstJoinPlus, which spawns you items I set when you first spawn. Currently there is a glitch that makes it spawn two stone pickaxes and swords. There's also MinersNeverSleep, if you're below level 60 you will be ignored, and people on the surface can sleep. We also have ChestShop again, which I hope will be used much more this time. But that may be replaced with Citizens shop system once I figure out more on how it works. Last mod I'll mention for now is PersonalChest. It allows admins to create a personal chest that everyone can access, but only see what they place/take out of it. Also, if there's items inside when it's created, those items will be up for the taking by everyone.
We also still have a Dynmap here. You'll notice that all the towns are claimed. I did this so no one can destroy the towns where the NPCs live. Also, the chests are open for you to rummage through, they are Personal Chests for everyone. I should also mention that if you kill an NPC, you will lose around $1,000, and 50 EXP for any job you may be apart of.
One extra thing, we are a PvP server now, but everyone is neutral until you join a Nation. All Nations will be at war with each other constantly. But don't worry for now, we are still setting up who will run the nations, and where they're located.
I should also mention that spawn is on an island in the middle of the ocean, you cannot build or break anything on it. You will need to use the boat provided to you to get to the nearest shore. Once spawn is down, there will be roads/rails leading to the nearest land. Also try not to build in the middle from spawn, or the future road may run through your home!
