Recently, it seems some of our players have been confused as to what defines a mob farm and how you can farm mobs from a spawner in a legit manner. I'm here to help alleviate some of that confusion.

If you happen across a mob spawner and you want to farm the mobs for some delicious xp and possible items, then here is what you may do:

Sit there and wait for mobs to spawn.

Here is what you may not do:

You may not set a water trap guiding them off a cliff to take more dmg so you can wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am them once and be on your way

You may not set a water trap guiding them into an area where you can see them, but they can't see you and then you proceed to murder the harmless things

And you may not alter the room in any manner to better suit your farming needs

As for the mob farms:

Just. Don't. You can't build a fence around yourself for protection and you can't build a pit for them to fall into so you can farm them later. The purpose of mobs like pigmen and endermen is for them to be difficult to kill. The fact that you even have them grouped in a place like the End or the Nether is blessing enough. If you want to mindlessly farm things with no tact at all, this is not the server for you.
