Considering getting an OBT as relatively new keeper

Post Body

Sorry for another post today but I figured one like this could serve others in the same situation as I am and could be place for them to come to in the future. The hobby seems to be growing and growing and I feel like these guys have an undeserved reputation. Or am I wrong? About me: Still relatively new to keeping but have really thrived for the most part. I have all healthy Ts and my one passing was a rescue project to begin with. I recently picked up an A chalcodes freshly juvenile who turned out to be a little firecracker. Very skittish and a hair machine gun. It was in a cramped enclosure with substrate to the lid and I knew rehousing would be a decent test for me. Long story short it wasn't happy but I took my time, dug slowly and read it's body language which led to it entering the catch cup(paintbrush method) and then new enclosure without any issue. I saw this as a pretty decent test for when I have to house something like an OBT. I also don't have kids etc and buy sturdy, lockable enclosures. I've been interested in OBTs since researching while getting into the hobby and finally feel like I could handle owning one. My plan is to place it in a decent sized (but not too large) Enclosure as a sling with substrate depth and a great starter hide/tons of anchor points for webbing. I'd situate the hide on the quiet end of the enclosure. I figure with that setup it should feel very secure and remain as calm as possible while having room to grow thus cutting down on rehousing events. I may only have to rehouse it once when it's a decent sized juvenile. From all I've gathered these Ts simply want to be left alone and even threat postures can be rare if they are given patience and space to feel safe.

What do actual OBT owners think?

Again, I'm hoping this post can be referenced in the future so feel free to be more encompassing/general in your thoughts! Oh and I also think I'm gonna pick up the Kenya variant their subtle beauty is breathtaking!
