Hi Everyone!

I've been an avid Hermit crab & Gecko mom for 10 Years. My leopard gecko is 10, and my oldest hermit crab is 6 years old. I LOVE creating habitats and caring for creatures. My husband just gave me the ok to get a tarantula and I'm excited! Before I dive in I was wondering about enclosure size. I have a 4x4x8 (8 being the length tank). Is that a good size for either an adult or juvenile tarantula? If so what breed do you think? I would like to know what breed might be good for that size tank so I can do some research and prep the tank for it before welcoming a new family member. Also is there a discord I could join for these 8 legged beauties?

Also I will be reading the beginners guide but from what I read so far it didn’t have specific tanks for specific breed suggestions.
