Is my substrate too moist?

I just got a B. klaasi and rehoused her. I had the enclosure already set up a few days before I got her and I felt the substrate was too moist so I kept the lid up and let it dry out a bit.
The substrate is now considerably drier, but I'm wondering if it's still too moist for her. She's been exploring here enclosure, but when she's done she puts herself right up against the sides so that she's not really touching the substrate. Or, is her behavior just random tarantula behavior?
