I think having respect for a tarantula really helps both you and the tarantula. And by respect I mean being just a little bit scared. I’m scared to rehouse my tarantula! He’s just a little curly hair but I don’t want hairs flicked at me! Of course I’m going to wear long sleeves and gloves and I also have glasses already (lol) and plan to watch him closely so if he does I can back away.
I just had a coworker look at me like I was nuts saying “why in the world would you even own one if you are scared of them?”I wish I would have had a smartass reply but damn people are jerks about this sometimes! Then my other coworker was saying the one who made the comment has killed spiders here with her bare hands. Yeah..I’d love to see her just come over the my place, have the tarantula kick hairs at her because she doesn’t test his temperament and then tell me she isn’t scared.🙄
Sorry just had to vent. Also kinda scared to rehouse him. 😅
