Are kids scared of you?

I'm not tall but my brother is 6’8 and we live in a pretty short latino neighborhood across from an pre school full of kids that run and cry when they see him walking down the block. Its hilarious to me because I know he wouldn't a soul but all children think he's going to eat them or something. I noticed that even kids in our family avoid him at all costs. Is this a universal tall people thing?
